On a Sunday night do you ever tell yourself you’re going to eat better next week? We have all been there. Do you commit to it? Without the right plan, commitment can be hard. Meal planning is a great way to plan your meals and snacks ahead of time. When hunger hits, nobody wants to cook a healthy snack. If you have prepared items on hand you are setting yourself up for success to avoid the quick processed foods. The time you spend planning and preparing meals makes it all worth it when your body thanks you for not eating the junk. In Too Busy to Diet, there is an awesome guide to nailing the meal planning process each and every week! The book gives tips and tricks on meal planning as well as a Meal Planning Guide that breaks down each food group day by day.

Here are some tricks:

  1. Plan a menu for a full week so you only have to go to the grocery store once.
  2. Check newspapers for ads and coupons that can save you money on healthy ingredients like chicken or produce.
  3. Start by planning the entrees, then pick some sides that can be used in a few meals across the week.

Snag a copy of the book HERE to learn more about how meal planning can change your diet completely!
