Sal’s Meatballs

3 lbs. lean ground beef
1 lb. lean ground pork
6-7 cloves of garlic
1 small chopped onion
2- 1 lb. Italian bread loaves
Italian parsley fresh -3 tbs.
Chopped fresh spinach- 3tbs.
Salt and pepper to taste
Fartelli crushed tomatoes- 4 cans ( Other brands will work too)
2 eggs
1 cup milk
Bread crumbs for consistency

Strip out inner part of loaves of bread and soak in milk until mushy. Mix with meat, salt, pepper, garlic chopped, parsley, chopped spinach and chopped onion until the mixture is not sticking to your hands. Mix in 2 eggs. Add bread crumbs if needed to form meatballs that are not mushy. Form meatballs that are approximately 1 inch in diameter.

Roast in oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Freeze for later use or add to Fatelli canned crushed tomatoes. Simmer covered for 30 minutes.
